What a surprise to find such an exquisite food in this seemingly simple place. Those who appreciate finer quality cuisine should not miss this jewel. Vegetarian meals and red snapper I tried were delicious and artistically performed. This a la cart edge I could not find even in French restaurants in Siem Reap while paying double. Congratulations to the chef and owner. My only advice to rename the place to something that reflects its spirit and make the outside deco fancier so people won’t walk by.

We are so thrilled that we came across this amazing restaurant on our last day in Siem Reap. If people knew how tasty and beautifully executed the food is it would be packed all day every day. For now it's not very well known but I am sure it will take off in no time. It's the first time we got a really good service and tipped. We were given free water before ordering and the server made sure our water glasses stayed full throughout the whole dinner. I know it's something we take for granted back home but it's a first in Cambodia. The two Vegetarian & Vegan options were priced at $4 each and were full of flavors. On our way out we met the chef and had a nice little chat to him about the food. My advise is to maybe put another sign up saying: Vegetarian & Vegan options available! This will stop more people and make them look at the menu. :)

This place is amazing. It’s called street food but it’s really fine dining at incredibly affordable prices. We met the chef & he was wonderful. A must do in Siem Reap!!

ABOUT THE CHEF Chef Seiha Chomnab is a multi-awarded chef who has won several street food festival competitions and has been featured in several international magazines and newspapers. Honed by a legacy of traditional cooking from his family and educated with European and Asian techniques in the culinary arts at the École d'Hôtellerie et de Tourisme Paul Dubrule, Chef Chomnab's signature style is respectfully merging east and west by staying grounded to his roots in traditional Khmer cooking. With a varied experience working in the kitchens of several distinguished restaurants and hotels around Cambodia such as Por Cuisine, Riversoul Design Hotel, East of Narnia, Vain Vicious Vegan, Wagokoro Japanese, Mane Boutique Hotel, and Amansara, his new restaurant Jomno Street Food is his first personal undertaking as a chef/ entrepreneur. The restaurant is his tribute to the kingdom's growing street food scene and his way of tracing the historical roots and the evolving context of the culinary culture of Cambodia. Chef Chomnab is part of the Cambodian chefs collective Asian Street Food and also trains young aspiring chefs at the Egbok (Spoons). "At just 27 (in 2018), executive chef Seiha Chomnab whips up unique dishes that spotlight home-style Cambodian flavours and Japanese techniques..." -Claire Knox Silkwinds Magazine New Khmer Cuisine
